Two Thorlux apprentices have recently been rewarded for their talents and commitment at the annual Midland Group Training Services (MGTS) Awards.
Jacob Gates and Daniel Paine received the BTEC 1st Year Apprentice of the Year Award and the Advanced Apprentice Graduate Award, respectively. Members of the MGTS delivery team bestowed the awards based on their experience working with the apprentices throughout the academic year.
The awards panel stated that Jacob Gates achieved “the BTEC 1st Year Apprentice of the Year Award for his outstanding performance… Jacob has demonstrated a mature and focused attitude towards his learning, consistently producing high-quality work that reflects his dedication and attention to detail. Jacob’s commitment to excellence and his proactive approach to both his studies and his apprenticeship has been truly commendable.”
MGTS Training and Development Advisor, Bob Lynn, said that Daniel Paine’s Advanced Apprentice Graduate Award recognised his “consistently high performance across the four-year duration of the apprenticeship... I commend Dan’s exceptional performance, noting his proficiency in concept feasibility, design, and development. Dan's successful completion of the programme and his valuable contributions to research, prototyping, and problem-solving have made him an invaluable asset to Thorlux.”
The whole team at Thorlux Lighting are immensely proud of Jacob and Dan’s successes and we look forward to seeing what these young people achieve in the future.
