University of Cambridge
Cambridge, United Kingdom
Founded in 1209 and granted a Royal Charter by King Henry III in 1231, the University of Cambridge is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world and the world's fourth-oldest surviving university. The Faculty of Law within the University is one of the world’s finest law schools, renowned for the quality of its teaching and its cutting-edge legal research, particularly in international law. The Faculty houses four lecture theatres ranging in size from seating for over three hundred to just over fifty.
Thorlux Lighting regularly design, engineer and manufacture bespoke lighting solutions for clients. For the lecture theatre the team designed a retro-fit solution for the existing luminaires that provides a uniform natural uplight on the scalloped ceiling.
